It provides full-spectrum day lighting and low-intensity red light for nighttime observation.

It delivers specific wavelengths of blue light in the 465–485 nm range, along with controlled light intensity, to support melatonin regulation and circadian rhythm alignment.

Installation & Setup

  • HorseLight is designed as a plug-and-play equine lighting system. Units connect easily, mount in stalls or aisles, and plug into standard barn power systems without requiring complex rewiring or specialist installation.

  • Each HorseLight controller can operate up to 20 lighting units, making it suitable for both small barns and large equine facilities.

  • A general recommendation is one HorseLight unit per standard stall, with additional units placed in aisles or shared spaces for consistent horse barn lighting coverage throughout the facility.

  • HorseLight systems typically operate between 11 and 17 hours of simulated daylight, depending on seasonal programming and management goals. After the daylight phase, systems can automatically or manually transition to low-intensity red light for nighttime observation.

  • In most cases, no. HorseLight is designed for simple installation using standard barn electrical setups. However, an electrician may be recommended for large barns or new electrical runs.

  • We recommend installing HorseLight units at approximately 3.5–5 meters (11.5–16.5 feet) from the floor to achieve optimal light spread and coverage in stalls and barn environments.
