HorseLight Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the purchase, installation, and use of HorseLight products and systems (“HorseLight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing, installing, or using HorseLight products, you agree to these Terms.

1. Product Use

HorseLight products are designed for use in equine environments, including horse barns, stables, training facilities, and breeding operations.

HorseLight systems are intended to support lighting conditions that may influence equine circadian rhythm, stable environment consistency, and general barn management practices.

Products must be used in accordance with all provided installation and operating instructions.

2. No Veterinary or Medical Advice

HorseLight products and any associated materials, including website content, marketing, or communication, are provided for informational purposes only.

HorseLight is not a veterinary device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition in horses or humans. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical advice regarding animal health.

3. Installation Responsibility

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are solely responsible for the installation of HorseLight systems.

HorseLight products are designed for straightforward installation; however, proper installation is essential for safe and effective operation. Customers are responsible for ensuring installation is completed correctly.

We recommend consulting a qualified electrician or barn technician where appropriate.

4. Electrical Safety and Compliance

HorseLight systems must be installed and operated in accordance with all applicable local, regional, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

Customers are responsible for ensuring their facility is suitable for electrical lighting installation and operation.

HorseLight is not responsible for damage or issues resulting from improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow safety guidelines.

5. Warranty

HorseLight products include a limited manufacturer warranty of three (3) years from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

The warranty does not cover:

Improper installation
Misuse or negligence
Unauthorized modifications
Electrical surges, power irregularities, or external damage
Normal wear and tear

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HorseLight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products.

This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, performance variations in horses, operational disruptions, or indirect costs associated with installation or use.

7. Product Performance Disclaimer

HorseLight systems are designed based on research related to equine lighting, circadian rhythm, and environmental lighting science.

However, results may vary depending on factors including but not limited to barn design, management practices, geographic location, and individual animal variation.

No guarantee is made regarding specific outcomes, including performance, reproduction, behavior, or physiological changes.

8. Intellectual Property

All HorseLight branding, product designs, documentation, images, technology, and website content are the intellectual property of HorseLight and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or modified without prior written permission.

9. Changes to Terms

HorseLight reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of HorseLight products following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
